Project Experience
Integrated Air Command & Control System (IACCS)
Integrated Air Command and Control System (IACCS) is an automated Air Defence Command and Control centre for controlling and monitoring Air Operations by the Indian Air Force. PEL was awarded a SITIC contract to connect various Air bases to IACCS nodes as well as set up Operations Control Rooms at the IACCS nodes.
PEL carried out following activities:
- Supply of Networking and Electrical items
- Testing as per ATP, FAT and SAT
- Installation of IT Hardware
- Customer Training
- Networking work: Laying of OFC & LAN cabling in trench, connectorization, and terminations
- Handing over of site to the customer
- Electrical work: Laying of HT & LT cabling in a trench, Building Electric work and terminations
- Technical & Maintenance Support
- Configuration of various Equipment
Integrated Underwater Harbour Defence and Surveillance System (IUHDSS)
A state-of-the-art Harbour Security system with integrated radars, electro-optic cameras and sonars. The sensors have been strategically installed around Naval Harbours to provide comprehensive real-time situational awareness for monitoring and analysis.
PEL Carried Out the Following Activities:
- Supply of Networking and Electrical items
- Design, Supply and Installation of:

- Integrated Shelter with Power Supply, Earthing & Networking systems
- Junction Boxes with Power Distribution & Protections
- Civil work: Foundation for Tower, Shelter and DG sets; Setup of Data Centre and Operations Control Center
- Electrical work: Laying of HT & LT cabling and Electric integration in Shelters, Junction Boxes and Buildings
- IT/ Networking work: Laying of OFC/ LAN cables, Data-centre installation, Video Wall, Operator Consoles

Airfield Modernisation
PEL had the proud privilege to undertake SITIC for the Indian Air Force’s “Modernization of Air Field Infrastructure” at 8 airfields across India. It is a turnkey project that includes the installation and commissioning of the Cat-II Instrument Landing System (ILS) and Cat II Air Field Lightning System (AFLS), etc. The Navigation Aids (NAVAIDs) deployed along the airfield will also be connected to the Air Traffic Control (ATC).
PEL Carried Out the Following Activities
- Installation and Commissioning of different NAVAIDs
- Configuration of various Equipment
- Networking work: Laying of OFC & LAN cabling in trench, structured cabling and terminations
- Testing as per ATP, FAT and SAT and acceptance
- Electrical work: Laying of HT & LT cabling in a trench, Building Electric work and terminations

- Civil work: Foundation for DG sets and NAVAIDs

SATCOM Connectivity of Remote Islands
PEL was awarded a SITIC contract to provide Ku band SATCOM connectivity to various islands of Lakshadweep and Andaman & Nicobar. This network connects cellular networks in the islands to BSNL’s mainland network. The SATCOM network included the deployment of Satellite Hubs, several VSATs in various islands and a Centralized Network Management System.

- Antenna Testing and Qualification by NOCC

Supply, Integration and Testing of Airborne V-UHF radios on AEWC&S
PEL was provided with a SITIC contract by CABS, DRDO for Airborne V/UHF radios. The project involved the development of a protocol converter from serial interfaces (RS422/RS485) to IP interfaces.
Integrated Electronic Warfare Systems
PEL has highly competent teams to test, train, operate and repair Integrated EW, COMINT, ELINT and COMJAM systems.

SITIC of Core Network Switch on Naval Warships
- Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of Core Switch at the premises of the Manufacturer
- Conduct Harbour Acceptance Testing (HAT)
- Conduct of Set to Work (STW) at Naval Shipyard
- Installation of Core Switch in Warship including interconnectivity to CMS, Sensors, Weapons, Intercom, Radio COMs, etc
- Monitor, debug and troubleshoot ship-borne network via Core Switch
- Configuration of Core Switch and Network Termination entities
- Coordination between all key stakeholders – Design Agency, Production Agency and the Naval Agencies
